The full title of the project is “Life cycle data conversion to international standard.”

Background

LCA data is used by organizations to measure, follow up and reduce environmental and social impact. It is important to contribute to making LCA data more accessible and transparent globally and therefor this research project was established.

Aim & objectives

Increase the availability of product-related environmental data that can be used to assess and improve the environmental performance of products. This is done by developing a conversion function that translates the data sets in CPM LCA Database to the international standard format ILCD.

Outcomes

Increase the availability of data sets for mainly SMEs, students and others who are unable to invest in commercial databases. Databases in itself constitute an important infrastructure for archiving and making available data from the Swedish research and industry and can also communicate data internationally.
