Welcome Helene – the new communication officer at the Swedish Life Cycle Center!
Helene Lindström, who started in the middle of the spring semester, will manage and coordinate the communication work at the Swedish Life Cycle Center. With a broad experience from seven years as a communication manager at a Chalmers research platform, Helene is a welcome addition to the Technical Secretariat team.
What is your background?
I finished my master degree in media and communication science, informatics, and organizational psychology at Göteborgs University in 2007. My main experience is from strategic and operational communication within fire protection, wireless equipment, and lately seven years as a communication manager within healthcare and medical technology at MedTech West, which is a research and innovation platform owned by Chalmers, VGR, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Göteborgs university and University of Borås. I have always had an interest in environmental sustainability, and my master thesis was focusing on how to get the attention from young adults on sustainability. Right now I am sharing my time between the Swedish Life Cycle Center and a government run healthtech innovation program in Stockholm; Medtech4Health.
What will you be doing?
I will work with communication activities, such as social media, articles, newsletters, educational material and videos, within the project Environmental footprint (Miljöavtryck), as well as other projects within the center.
What are your expectations on your role as a communication officer at the Swedish Life Cycle Center?
Firstly, I´m very grateful for getting this chance to learn more about and work within such an interesting and important area as the global sustainability field is. Although being new to the field, I hope that I will be able to contribute to the team by producing communication around sustainability in ways that make my colleagues´ work even more successful.
We warmly welcome Helene to the Technical Secretariat!
