PhD course: Advances in life cycle assessment, 5 HEC
Welcome to a course for PhD students that will give a deeper understanding of life cycle assessment (LCA) and related tools, including knowledge on state-of-the-art research in selected areas!
The course is organized by The research school Sustainable Biomass Systems at SLU and Swedish Life Cycle Center through a close collaboration in the Academy group of Swedish Life Cycle Center.
Content
This course gives an in-depth orientation of LCA. It includes a broad range of LCA-related topics: the methodology, its application, its relation to other assessment tools and its role in decision-processes.
The course starts with a half day introduction in October 17th, followed by several weeks of preparations at home, and an intensive week of seminars and lectures December 3rd to 7th, 2018.
Location
The introduction will be held at the Gothenburg office of IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, Aschebergsgatan 44, Gothenburg. It will be possible to take part in the introduction through video from the Stockholm office of IVL and from locations arranged by the student.
The week of seminars and lectures will be held in Gothenburg.
