2024 was a year of significant milestones for the Swedish Life Cycle Center. From hosting the SETAC Europe 26th LCA Symposium in Gothenburg, which brought together over 500 participants, to concluding Stage 10 of our operations, the year was marked by important progress and achievements.

“We’ve moved from discussion to action in several areas and the interest in LCA and the life cycle perspective continues to rise,” says Maria Rydberg, Director of the Swedish Life Cycle Center.

The year also saw major developments in our projects, including the progress of the “Innovation cluster for the life cycle perspective”, the development of new training material, and the start of the new working group “Circularity & LCA”.

“For us, discussions on methodology as well as the input that the network gives in regard to trends and national and international activities have been of great value during the year,” a reflection from a board member, 2024.
