Swedish Life Cycle Center is pleased to welcome Amiblu as our newest partner. Amiblu specializes in designing and supplying pipes and fittings from glass-fiber reinforced plastics, GRP, to address global water challenges. With operations in 125 countries, Amiblu is committed to sustainable water infrastructure solutions.

Representing Amiblu on the Swedish Life Cycle Center board will be Stefanie Römhild (ordinary), and Thore Klaveness (deputy), both Senior Chemical Scientists. We spoke with Amiblu to gain insights into their perspective on life cycle assessment (LCA) and their goals as a new partner.

What role does the life cycle perspective have in your organization?

“At Amiblu, the life cycle perspective is vital for reducing environmental impact and driving sustainable innovation. It allows us to evaluate and minimize our products’ footprint across their entire life cycle – from material sourcing and production to end-of-life and recycling potential. This perspective guides our decisions in design, manufacturing, and material selection. Additionally, by providing transparent data such as EPDs, we enable customers to make informed decisions, align with global standards, and adopt more sustainable solutions”.
