Life Cycle Talks: How green is your business? With Henrikke Baumann
Welcome to the first Life Cycle Talks ever! A series of talks presenting the research front to keep you up to date with the science and application of the life cycle perspective. Our first guest is Henrikke Baumann, Professor in Industrial and Domestic Ecologies at Chalmers University of Technology. She will introduce us to the Business Model Life Cycle Assessment (BMLCA) – a brand new way to measure environmental impacts!
Business model LCA is a novel LCA methodology developed and tested in business cases for the assessment of environmental performance of business models. The method switches the focus from product function to business profit and is a supporting tool for development and innovation of sustainable business models.
“BMLCA contributes to environmental business analysis and could open up a new avenue of research where LCA and business analysts collaborate on business model innovation for sustainability. It links business thinking to life cycle thinking and enables decoupling.” Henrikke Baumann
