This group has a focus on social aspects throughout the entire life cycle.

Background

There is a need of working with/handle social aspects in a (harmonized) structured way throughout the entire life cycle in complement to environmental-LCA. Swedish Life Cycle Center has gathered researchers within Sweden who are active within this field together with some of our industry partners which has taking part of the international methodology development to share experiences.

Updated guidelines for Social life cycle assessment of products and organizations, from The Life Cycle Initiative was published in December 2020. A link to the updated guidelines can be found below.

Aim

Explore how to handle social aspects throughout the entire life cycle:
a. common research projects
b. forum for discussion: exchange of information, learn from each other
c. common strategic intelligence
d. participate in the 7th international conference on Social LCA in Gothenburg 2020.
