Aim of workshop

Participants during the workshop will provide input to the EU Commission process to define the LCA based PEF method. Future needs and poten al legisla ons/direc ves for life cycle thinking in product stewardship, procurement and design requirements will also be covered.

The workshop will focus on different issues e.g:

• Product segment structure in PEF – Granularity f or relevant product comparisons
• Weighting and impact assessment methods
• How should the methods be used for differ ent applica ons; public procurement, eco-design, value chain management, EPD and ecolabelling

The workshop is organised by the Nordic Environmental Footprint group (NEF), the Swedish Life Cycle Centre and IVL Swedish Environmental Research Ins tute. NEF is a network group established in 2015 under Nordic Council of Ministers. The aim of the group is to coordinate the Nordic countries authority work within PEF and to disseminate knowledge regarding PEF to Nordic stakeholders.
